Website Service Agreement

Effective Date: October 1, 2025

This Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into by and between Paulina Creative (the “Designer”), and the undersigned client (“Client”). By booking and paying for the service, Client agrees to the terms outlined below.

1. Services Provided

The Designer agrees to provide web design and setup services on Squarespace, including:

  • Designing and building a website in 3 days

  • Moodboard and color palette tailored to your brand

  • Mobile friendly and responsive design for all devices

  • Squarespace domain setup

  • Up to 2 rounds of edits during the design weekend

  • Up to 1 week of consulting after website handover

  • Training and guidance via Zoom to navigate the completed site

  • Access to a welcome packet and Google Drive folder to upload content

  • Bonus: Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, Disclaimer page design (if content is provided)

What’s not included:

  • External services or integrations (email marketing platforms, external forms, booking systems, or other apps)

  • Ongoing updates or website maintenance beyond the handoff session

  • The project will be a polished, professional site reflecting the Client’s brand. This package focuses on clean layouts and effective messaging, rather than complex animations or custom coding.

The Client will be the only client during the 3-Day Website package and will have the Designer’s full attention.

2. Client Responsibilities

To ensure a smooth design process, the Client agrees to provide:

  • Access to their Squarespace account

  • Website content: text, images, logos, and branding assets. The Client is responsible for providing images they have the rights or licenses to use. The Designer may suggest sources for stock images (e.g., Canva, Unsplash, or Pexels), but is not responsible for licensing or copyright compliance.

  • Website inspiration: links to websites or designs they like

The Client acknowledges that all necessary materials must be submitted to the Designer before the first design day to ensure the website can be completed on time.

3. Payment

  • A 50% nonrefundable deposit is due to book the 3-Day Website package. The remaining balance, also nonrefundable, is due by the start of the first day of the design weekend (Tuesday).

  • Clients who choose to pay in full at the time of booking acknowledge that the full payment is nonrefundable.

  • The Client is responsible for any additional costs (including, but not limited to, Squarespace subscription or domain fees), which are separate from this service.

4. Intellectual Property

  • The Designer retains ownership of design files, templates, and creative materials until full payment is received.

  • The Client retains ownership of the content they provide (text, images, logos, branding).

  • Upon full payment, the Client has the right to use the completed website for their business or personal purposes.

5. Limitation of Liability

  • The Designer is not responsible for any issues arising from third-party apps, Squarespace technical issues, or content errors provided by the Client.

  • The Designer is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the website.

  • The Client acknowledges that the website is designed to showcase their brand and is not a substitute for professional services, booking systems, or other business tools.

6. Training & Handover

  • The Designer provides a Zoom session at the end of the design weekend for site navigation and Q&A.

  • The Designer may also provide support via email for up to one week after the design weekend for guidance and consulting, not for making updates on behalf of the Client.

7. Rescheduling

  • The Client may reschedule the design weekend with at least 48 hours’ notice.

  • Rescheduling is subject to the Designer’s availability.

8. Confidentiality

  • Both parties agree to maintain confidentiality of any sensitive information shared during the design process.

9. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

  • This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Maryland.

  • Any disputes will be resolved via binding arbitration in Maryland, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

10. Entire Agreement

This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the Designer and the Client regarding the 3-Day Website service and supersedes all prior agreements or understandings.
